Oakland Raiders coach said he has no second Antworten

On the field Joe Flacco Jersey , Antonio Brown was hard to catch. Off it — hard to find.Brown's debut with the New England Patriots was a success. He was Tom Brady's favorite target Sunday, finishing with four catches for 56 yards and a 20-yard touchdown that he celebrated by vaulting over the wall behind the end zone and into the stands.New England defeated Miami 43-0 — side note, the Dolphins are awful — but afterward, Brown was nowhere to be seen once the media was allowed into the locker room. His clothes had been removed and his nameplate taken down from his locker. Thus marked both the end of one tumultuous week and the beginning of another for the Patriots' wide receiver.Last Tuesday, only three days after Brown signed his contract with New England after being released by Oakland, his former trainer accused him of rape and sexual assault in a civil lawsuit. Brown has denied the claim. His former trainer is supposed to meet with NFL officials on Monday. In case you missed it, here are some other things people were talking about on the second Sunday of the 2019 season:WHAT A KICK: How crazy and improbable was the finish to the Bears' game?Well, to put it simply, Chicago won it on a last-second field goal.Yes, the Bears — the team that saw its playoff run last season end with a double-doink field goal and tried out nine kickers in the offseason to replace goalpost-banger Cody Parkey — got a 53-yarder from the winner of that contest, Eddy Pineiro, to come out with a 16-14 win over Denver. The final 31 seconds contained more action than the first 59:29.A brief summary:— Joe Flacco throws touchdown to Emmanuel Sanders to cap 62-yard drive and pull Denver to 13-12.— Broncos decide to go for 2, only to get called for delay of game.— Broncos trot out kicker Brandon McManus, who shanks kick wide right. But Bears were offside.— With ball now on the 1, Broncos go for 2 and make it for 14-13 lead.— One play after kickoff, Broncos Bradley Chubb called for roughing the passer to give Bears ball on their 45.— Three incompletions later, Bears receiver Allen Robinson II catches ball on Denver 35, clock ticks to "0:00" and Broncos storm the field. But refs say Robinson was down with 1 second left and Chicago called timeout.— Pinero bangs it through for the win — and gets to keep his job for another week.AGREE TO DISAGREE: Imagine the conversation Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey and coach Doug Marrone could have had AFTER the game.Ramsey and Marrone had to be separated during an argument on the bench during the first quarter of Jacksonville's 13-12 loss to Houston. Apparently, Ramsey was upset the coach didn't throw a challenge flag on third-and-2 completion on a drive that led to a Texans field goal. But Marrone's biggest decision came at the end Bradley Chubb Jersey White , after the Jaguars had scored a touchdown to pull within one with 30 seconds left. Marrone went for the win. But a handoff to Leonard Fournette up the middle came up inches short."I was very, very comfortable with it. It just didn't work," Marrone said of the play call.Sorta drowned out the drama from before."There are a lot of emotions in the game," Marrone said when asked what happened during the dust-up with Ramsey. "I don't know. I can't recall."ANYBODY CAN DO THAT: Three touchdowns and 269 yards passing. Five carries for 69 yards.Sure, anybody can do that — but nobody did it better than Dak Prescott on Sunday. The Cowboys' quarterback dominated the Redskins in a 31-21 win. No single play made a bigger statement than his 42-yard run in the second quarter, in which it appeared Prescott slowed down so he could deliver a stiff arm to the facemask of cornerback Josh Norman.Norman, who also got beat on Prescott's 51-yard touchdown throw to Devin Smith, earned some headlines last week while talking about how well the Dallas offensive line has been playing in front of the second-year quarterback."You stand back there in the pocket all day and go through your first, second and third reads and come back to your first one, OK, cool," Norman said. "Anybody can do that."To be fair, Norman was paying respect to the O-line more than dissing Prescott during that interview. And to be fair, Norman stood near his locker and answered all the questions during the postgame Sunday. But the quote became a top trender on social media while Norman was taking his share of abuse on the field."I'm a little bit surprised. I'd lie to you if I said I wasn't. It's shocking," Norman said of Washington's struggles on defense. "We're much better than what we're doing right now."Broncos receiving early returns from rookie class Good morning, Broncos Country.A common criticism of John Elway in his tenure as General Manager of the Denver Broncos has been his drafting ability. That has been especially true for their early round picks, which have usually been misses, providing tenuous production at best.In order to turn things around for the long haul, it was mission critical for the franchise to have a successful draft this past April. As silly as it may seem Womens Bradley Chubb Jersey , it’s commonplace for outlets to grade the drafts after they happen. As soon as the 2018 NFL Draft was over, the franchise was lauded for their group of draftees — with many draft analysts and media personalities ranking the Broncos’ class as one the best.During training camp and the preseason, we began to see why they were given such praise. Even so, many across Broncos Country remained cautious with their expectations, given their history of hype letdowns over the years. Yet two games into the regular season, it appears that this year’s crop of rookies is indeed the real deal.According to Patrick Smyth, the team’s Executive Vice President of Public and Community Relations, rookies Royce Freeman, Phillip Lindsay and Courtland Sutton have combined for 366 total yards — the most by an offensive trio of rookies in well over a decade. On the defensive side of the ball, top pick Bradley Chubb has also made his presence known. In two games, he has six tackles, a half sack and eight quarterback pressures. Additionally, day three selections Josey Jewell, DaeSean Hamilton and Keishawn Bierria have made been integral special teams players. So far, so good for the 2018 draft class.“Our young guys who are playing for us, they’re all qualified, they’re all smart guys and they’re well-coached. That’s huge,” stated Head Coach Vance Joseph after the team’s victory against the Oakland Raiders. “Obviously with game time and more experience, they’re going to play better for us. I’ve been really impressed with this entire class how they’ve played for us the last two games Womens Dre'Mont Jones Jersey ,” he added. Not only are the Broncos reaping the benefits from their most recent class, others from years past are also contributing in a positive manner. After spending his entire first season on injured reserve, second-year tight end Jake Butt has caught 6 passes for 77 yards in his first two professional games. Despite Butt seeing nearly half of the snaps as Jeff Heuerman, he has had more than double the production. While his blocking skills are still a work in progress, Butt has shown to be a reliable target on third downs and has provided Case Keenum another viable weapon on offense. Credit must also be given to 2017 first-round selection Garett Bolles, who has shown demonstrable improvement in his second year and appears to be developing into the franchise left tackle the team believed he could become. Additionally, the play of Connor McGovern at right guard has been impressive. The progress of those two are a major reason why this year’s offensive line unit looks much better and has played with better consistency than the past several seasons. While it’s only one draft class, it appears that the Broncos have bucked the long-standing trend of underproduction from their rookie class. Moreover, if the youth on the Broncos’ roster continues to develop and progress each week, the franchise will undoubtedly be in good shape for the remainder of the season and beyond. As always, thank you for reading and here is today’s offering of Horse Tracks.Horse TracksVon Miller and Shaq Barrett named to PFF’s Team of the WeekBroncos outside linebackers Von Miller and Shaq Barrett received recognition for their key performances in Week 2.Should the Broncos move on from Demaryius Thomas?Justin Michael of Mile High Sports delves into the idea of the Denver Broncos parting ways with the veteran receiver.Power Rankings Roundup: Broncos make a steady climbTake a look at where the experts ranked the Broncos after the Week 2 slate of games.RB Phillip Lindsay nominated for two weekly NFL honorsCast your vote for the rookie running back right now!Jon Gruden: No regrets on Khalil Mack trade despite 0-2 startWhile Jon Gruden has bemoaned the lack of a pass rush through two winless games in his return to the NFL, the thoughts on trading Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears on Sept. 1.How Patrick Mahomes is keeping his many hungry receivers fedThe Chiefs have scored 80 points in two games, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown 10 touchdowns to seven different receivers.Getting Alex Collins, Ravens run game on track is ‘big priority’The Ravens have been among the league’s worst rushing teams through two games. “We need to pop some,” coach John Harbaugh said.Brady doesn't want to heap expectations on Gordon - NFL.comQuarterback Tom Brady is hoping that the Patriots' newest acquisition can help the team but noted it could take some time to build chemistry with former Browns wideout Josh Gordon.Pete Carroll: Russell Wilson is 'over-trying a little bit' - NFL.comAfter opening the season 0-2, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has sine criticism for QB Russell Wilson.
