Los Angeles Rams player Robert Quinn is in a stable condition in hospital with a non-football injury, the NFL team announced on Monday. The defensive end has been living with a brain tumour for a number of years, a condition that caused intense headaches until doctors drained excess fluid from his skull when he was a teenager. However Rams coach Jeff Fisher said he thought it was highly unlikely that Quinns current condition was related to the tumour, adding that things look encouraging. The 26-year-old has check-ups on the condition twice a year.Quinn, a first-round draft pick of the Rams in 2011, has posted eight tackles and two sacks in seven contests this season. In six seasons with the Rams, he has 184 tackles and 52 sacks in 78 games.
