OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams sprained his left ankle in the first quarter Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans and sat for the remainder of the game getting treatment.Adams injured the ankle when he defended a shot, landed awkwardly and rolled it.Adams was set to be the Thunders primary defender against league-leading scorer Anthony Davis, who finished with 37 points and 15 rebounds, as the Thunder topped the Pelicans 101-92. Adams checked out after nine minutes, scoring 7 points with 3 rebounds.No update was available after the game, and the team said Adams will be re-evaluated Monday before the Thunder play Dwight Howard and the Atlanta Hawks.Teammate Enes Kanter said he talked to Adams and thinks he may be available.I think hes actually going to feel good tomorrow and come back, Kanter said, because we need him.
