Joline Johansson’s season-ending injury will not spell the end of Hertfordshire Mavericks’ hopes, vowed Layla Guscoth.New Zealand international Johansson damaged her knee ligaments during a training session and will play no further part in the 2016 Netball Superleague season.Mavericks captain Guscoth has expressed sympathy for her stricken team-mate but insists her absence will not derail a promising campaign for the team. Weve got a group of girls ready to step into her position. Its definitely not the end of our campaign. Layla Guscoth For any team to lose a player of her calibre is a shame, but we have a good 15 regardless, Guscoth told Sky Sports. Weve got a group of girls ready to step into her position. Its definitely not the end of our campaign.[The injury] was in a training environment. Its one of those things that unfortunately happens in sport. Were all really gutted for her, and we hope she has a speedy recovery. On landing, she just went down. Unfortunately scans show she ruptured her cruciate.Ive seen her a few times and shes the ultimate professional, shes in really good spirits. Shes ready to get back on the mend. Joline Johannson highlights from earlier this season Mavericks currently sit second in the Superleague, level on 27 points with first-placed Manchester Thunder who they play on Saturday.A quick turnaround will then see Mavericks meet Yorkshire Jets, who are bottom of the league without any points, live on Sky Sports 2 HD at 7.30pm on Monday.Guscoth is excited for both matches, saying: You get such a buzz from playing top-of-the-table clashes. Were both going into the game with one loss and itll go down to whoever executes their best. Our aim for the season, as it usually is, is to finish in the top four then anything can happen in the play-offs.Playing live on Sky is always really great - Yorkshire Jets have had a tough season, putting up good first-half performances but not finishing the job. Theyre a team that can push us.Watch Mavericks v Yorkshire Jets live on Sky Sports 2 HD at 7.30pm on Monday. Also See:Vitality Superleague fixturesTableLive on SkySportswomenCheap Fake Air Max . Tomic effectively gave up match point against Fabio Fognini by attempting to return the ball with his rackets handle After the Australian Olympic Committees AGM, Chiller said: I think it was appalling behaviour. It goes against every value that all the Olympians live by, it goes against everything that weve been trying to build in this team.I would not want to see any of our Olympic team members behave in that way.Chiller said both Tomic and Kyrgios, who has a history of verbally abusing opponents, umpires and fans, were just two of the potential Rio Games athletes who were being monitored for their behaviour. Every athlete is under the microscope now, she added. Theres a few athletes that are on wwatch and those two names are among them.ddddddddddddTomic has been accused of tanking, or failing to try his best, in the past including in a loss to Andy Roddick at the 2012 US Open. Chef de Mission of the Australian Olympic Team for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games Kitty Chiller has warned Tomic and Kyrgios His 28-minute loss to Jarkko Nieminen in Miami in 2014 remains the quickest ever on the ATP Tour, while he was also involved in a spat with Davis Cup team-mate Kyrgios in March.Tennis Australia has until late June to nominate its team for Rio, with world No 21 Kyrgios and Tomic the countrys highest-ranked players and best chance for a medal. Tomic shows his emotion against Fabio Fognini But Chiller was keen to point out that Tennis Australia can only nominate players of good standing within their sport, while the AOC has the final say.Its their responsibility to determine whether its appropriate to nominate them, she said. If any athlete from any sport is nominated, we look at everything ... including behaviour, including the disrepute clause. Australias Nick Kyrgios holds his shirt in his mouth during his mens singles match against Czech Republics Tomas Berdych We have the ability to take that into consideration whether we proceed to select the nomination or not.Based on the last 48 hours, all I can comment on is that is not behaviour that I would want any team member in a team that Im responsible for to exhibit. Also See:Nadal sets up Murray tieSky Live: Murray v NadalWATCH: Kyrgios hotdogTomic: So rich I dont care ' ' '
