OAKLAND, Calif. -- Playing in high-profile games is old hat for the Denver Broncos after two trips to the Super Bowl the past three seasons and plenty of other opportunities to play on the NFLs biggest stages. Its a new experience for the Oakland Raiders, who have spent more than a decade at the bottom of the standings and far from the limelight of hyped primetime games. For the first time since 2006, the Raiders (6-2) have an opportunity to play on the NFLs premier Sunday night stage when they host the Broncos (6-2) on Sunday night in an AFC West showdown.I think what we recognize as an organization is as you become relevant, as you play good football, youre going to have more of these opportunities, coach Jack Del Rio said. This is the natural progression in building a good football team. We should expect to be in these games. Were going to expect to win these games. Then were going to move forward and have more of these kinds of games. The game offers an intriguing matchup with Derek Carr and Oaklands high-powered offense that is coming off a record-setting performance in last weeks 30-24 overtime win at Tampa Bay facing Von Miller and the leagues most dominant defense.Adding more juice to the matchup is the fact that these teams are longtime rivals with a history of playing in big games.Weve never liked the Raiders, safety T.J. Ward said. Its always come in the same way, regardless of what their record is. Its just a dislike we have for them. And thats not going to change. Here are some other things to watch this week:LUXURY CARR: In his third season as a pro, Carr has made significant strides and is now considered one of the top quarterbacks in the league . Carr threw for a franchise-record 513 yards last week and joined Y.A. Tittle and Ben Roethlisberger as the only players to throw for at least 500 yards and four touchdowns in a game without an interception. Its still kind of surreal and I dont think it will be real to me until Im done playing and I can kind of look back, Carr said of the accolades.TURN IT OVER: The Broncos are tied for the NFL lead with 16 takeaways this season, leading to a league-high 80 points on the ensuing drives. Denver has won 27 straight games when winning the turnover battle, including last year in Oakland when Chris Harris 74-yard interception return in the fourth quarter turned a possible go-ahead drive for the Raiders into a win for the Broncos.MACK ATTACK: Raiders edge rusher Khalil Mack had his best game ever the previous time he faced the Broncos. Mack had five sacks that game, including one in the end zone against Brock Osweiler that led to a safety in Oaklands 15-12 win . Osweiler is no longer in Denver and the Broncos have two new tackles in Russell Okung and Donald Stephenson. Mack is hitting his stride of late with four sacks the past three games after recording just one the first five weeks. The guys a monster, teammate Bruce Irvin said. He wreaks havoc every week and he has to be accounted for. Its that time of year where hes about to get it rolling. Its really exciting to see.COOP AND CRAB: The Raiders have one of the leagues most dynamic receiving duos in Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. Cooper is third in the league with 52 catches and 787 yards receiving, while Crabtree is tied for the league lead with six TD catches and ranks fifth with 47 catches. The Broncos counter with the leagues top secondary , led by cornerbacks Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr. and Bradley Roby.I feel like they have two good receivers. I dont feel they have two elite receivers, Ward said. So, we have two elite corners. We have three elite corners, and thats their job. So, I think well be all right.CLEAN IT UP: The Raiders are coming off a record-setting performance theyd like to forget. Oakland committed an NFL record 23 penalties last week in Tampa Bay for 200 yards. The Raiders are on pace for 172 penalties this season, which would break the record of 163 the franchise set in 2011.Were not going to dwell on it, Del Rio said. Were not going to spend any more time than is necessary to make the corrections, and then we move on.---AP Pro Football Writer Arnie Stapleton in Englewood, Colorado, contributed to this report---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL Cheap FC Barcelona Jerseys . This should be celebrated because it will not always be this way. With the amount of money given to players by their clubs these days, it is a wonder that so many of those teams allow the sport to continue to take away many of their assets so they can play for a different team in the middle of their season. IndyCar will contribute $925,000 to help satisfy the $1.678 million owed to ticket buyers of the now-canceled Boston Grand Prix. Race organizers, meanwhile, now face a lawsuit from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. On Thursday, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey announced the IndyCar settlement and the filing of a lawsuit against Boston Grand Prix and its CEO, John Casey. The lawsuit seeks restitution for ticket buyers.Boston Grand Prix filed for bankruptcy Tuesday, listing all the people owed money and stating it only has $10,909 in its bank accounts, two show cars worth approximately $50,000 and 120 concrete barriers worth an unknown amount. The state lawsuit filed Thursday alleges that when tickets went on sale in March, Casey knew he still needed to obtain permits to comply with the Seaport District flood plan in order to have the race. The confirmation that came with the ticket sales guaranteed a refund if the event was canceled. The race was officially canceled April 29, and Boston Grand Prix had sold tickets to more than 4,000 people worth $2,086,798. It was able to send out approximately $400,000 in refunds.Boston Grand Prix and its CEO knew full well when they marketed and sold this event that they didnt have the resources or permits to make it happen, Healey said in a news release. They failed to protect consumers, and we will do all we can to hold them accountable.Healey also threatened to sue IndyCar prior to its agreement to pay $925,000 toward the $1,677,894 remaining that needs to be refunded.I appreciate IndyCars willingness to step up for their fans and help resolve this problem, she said.dddddddddddd Theyve gone above and beyond to be a productive part of this solution, and their fans will reap the benefits.Boston Grand Prix said in its bankruptcy filing that it prepaid IndyCar $487,500 for the race. IndyCar says it is owed as much as $4.2 million. We want our fans to know that we share their disappointment that the race wont take place, said Mark Miles, CEO of IndyCar parent company Hulman & Co. And we also want to join them in expressing our appreciation for Attorney General Healeys work on their behalf. The state lawsuit against Casey and the BGP asks for a $5,000 fine for each violation of state law. With a potential of approximately 4,000 violations, that theoretically could equate to close to $20 million. The lawsuit claims that Casey should have held the ticket money in trust or have a mechanism to provide full refunds.Casey knew by the time advance ticket sales began on March 11, 2016 that BGP had not secured all the necessary approvals and that BGP owed money to vendors, the lawsuit alleges. He knew that BGP would have to pay the balance due on contracts with INDYCAR and the [Massachusetts Convention Center Authority] as well as costs that the venture continued to accrue in preparation for the race.Despite knowing BGP had these outstanding financial obligations, Casey allowed BGP to write checks to himself and to make direct payments to third parties that appear to be of a personal nature.
