Lyles won for the first time in nearly two months, Brandon Barnes doubled twice and drove in two runs, and the Houston Astros beat the Oakland Athletics 5-4 Tuesday night to snap a six-game losing streak. "It was nerve-racking in here watching the game," Lyles said. "Me and a few other guys were going a little crazy. Its way more nerve-racking to watch a game youve pitched in than to be out there." Lyles had to wait out a possible game-winning home run before he could breathe easy. With a runner on first base in the ninth, Chris Young hit an 0-1 pitch from Lo down the left field line. The ball curved just outside the foul pole and third base umpire Doug Eddings immediately ruled it foul. "I was able to see it a couple times on replay and knew we were OK," Lyles said.
